How AIIMS MBBS 2019 Result will be calculated?
AIIMS MBBS result 2019 to be released in the form of percentile scores, will be derived on the basis of cut off set by the authority. Based on this percentile scores, the merit list will be prepared. AIIMS, New Delhi will prepare the result on the basis of following:
- Raw scores of candidate
- Percentage
- Subject-wise percentiles (upto seven decimals)
- Overall percentile (upto seven decimals)
The raw scores will be determined on the basis of marking scheme as mentioned in the exam pattern of AIIMS MBBS 2019. As per the marking scheme, 1 mark will be allotted for a correct answer, while 1/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect response and 0 mark will be for unanswered questions.
How percentile scores will be calculated?
Five percentile score of each candidate will be evaluated by using the formula mentioned below. In the formula, T, S1, S2, S3 and S4 can be considered as the raw scores secured by aspirants in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge.

The roll number-wise and rank-wise result of AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be available in the form of merit list. Tie-Breaking method of AIIMS MBBS Merit List 2019
In case the marks of two or more candidates will be equal, then the authority will follow the inter-se merit procedure to resolve the ties.
- Percentile in Biology: Aspirants with higher percentile in biology will be given better rank in the merit list
- Percentile in Chemistry: If the first tie-breaker fails, then the student with higher percentile scores in Chemistry will be given higher preference
- Percentile in Physics: If above inter-se merit won’t work, then, higher percentile scores in Physics will be considered better rank in the merit list
- Age: At last, the age of the candidates will be taken into consideration. The elder aspirants will be allotted better rank in the merit list
What after AIIMS MBBS Result 2019?
Only candidates included in AIIMS MBBS 2019 result will be called for the counselling procedure. As last year, AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling is expected to be conducted in the online mode. The counselling will be held in three rounds. Aspirants will be called for the counselling on the basis of their merit rank. During the procedure of counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2019, candidates will be required to provide their preferences of courses and institutes. Based on these preferences, AIIMS MBBS rank and availability of seats, the admission will be granted.
